New BL Releases & Pre-Orders
What’s new in GloBL, BL, or Erotica land?
Kitty Media has Moduru Motoni’s* latest license Dog Style as officially being ‘out’ today [Wednesday, of course] though they’ve had the title on Ebay for quite some time. If you’re ever curious about Kitty Media’s early releasing, always check the Yahoo group for the BoBoF [Boys On Boys On Film] website. The curator has an extremely good relationship with some notable BL publishers, so she tends to get the heads up on early or new releases, first.
*I find it strange that someone uploaded the Japanese version of ‘Rika & Tetsu’ by Motoni, to Amazon.com, as a listing. There is no English licensed translation to this since, the mangaka never finished the story ‘Rika the Breeder’. To my knowledge, Libre nor anyone else has picked this up, have they?
Torquere Press has announced their new online bookstore. Torquere, traditionally an eBook publisher, has released more and more print books, so I guess a new shopping interface was just a matter of time! This week’s release, in print, is the erotic tale Drawing Closer, by Jane Davitt. Torquere also sells the original print doujinshi catalogue of English circle, Umbrella Studios.
I mentioned this the other day in passing, and was unable to blog about it at the RUSH blog, but Amazon is very weird about who can add what to their website. It seems that sellers with a certain number of feedback history can add titles they own or are selling, even if the title isn’t in Amazon’s stock–RUSH is NOT distributed to Amazon by Dramaqueen, for that matter–none of DQ’s books are directly distributed to Amazon, Amazon has to buy these books from a distributor before making them as ‘available from Amazon.com’. So when I saw RUSH in their catalogue, I was a bit surprised. I added some cover images
, because Amazon doesn’t allow ‘vendors’ selling the title to add all the proper information for the title. This is shame, because that makes the book impossible to ’search for’ in their search engine. If you type RUSH Tina Anderson, you’ll find them…[or RUSH (add creator name)] - they’re not using the proper ISBNs for the titles, they’re assigned their own index #, and of course the vendor is selling ‘used-like new’ which means the shrink wrap is gone, but the book hasn’t been read. :/ When I had copies to sell at Amazon, I couldn’t, because they refused to recognize the ISBN # as not being in their database. So I have to be a ’special vendor’ in order to punch a hole in the wall there? If they’re going to let these ‘power-sellers’ sell used copies like this, they should allow them to add the proper info [ISBN, book blurb, cover art]. Just my opinion.
And this…

…just to aggravate Dirk. ^_^v
