Working on Saturday

I’s gots deadlines.

Spent last night reading erotica and drinking Crown Royal in Diet Dr. Pepper. Those mini-cans are great! I got my hands on a Torquere book by Chris Owen. I have to admit, I was floored by the product value [I haven’t read it yet]; great binding, good print quality, tolerable cover art, and BIG margins inside. 0_0. I must know who printed this! Can someone help me out here?

Remember when the topic came up over at ‘Things We Do’ about an author’s gender changing your opinion of the work? Well, the only thing the author’s gender does for me—is ruin my fantasy about me and the author. There are some creators out there that turn me on purely through cult-of-personality. I read their work, I see their journals, and BAM – I want them. When I find out they’re women, then the lust-giger just dies, and it’s all ruined for me. [And no, I'm not going to tap out a disclaimer about how I see nothing wrong with gay women...all you need to know is, I'm a straight woman who likes sex with men. It's nothing I need to apologize for!] It’s like falling in lust with a hot sounding disc-jockey on the radio, and when you see him in person at a live event or a club, you discover he’s a troll. Man, that sucks.

Dear Lee Benoit…if you’re a chick, I DON’T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT. Thank you, love Tina Anderson.

I’m downloading the art revisions for Sacrifice, new cover comes in today. I’ll be busy most of the day on this, since all artwork is due to the proofer by October 1.

Oh, I discovered this new coping medication—it’s so much better than Zoloft, Paxil, Cymbalta, or even Lexapro:
