Cut for Personal Schtuff

I was cleaning out my desk today, and in small box I found my old service ribbons. My uniform is actually somewhere in the house… (>.>) I doubt it fits me anymore. (^_^)

I just realized looking at this, YES- Katze and Jason–I got your mail! Jason, I love The White Ship! My daughter wants to know how you get so much detail into each panel. One of the things she dislikes about manga is, there’s too much whitespace. LOL!

Anyway, I know I’m missing a chest ribbon, but I still have the lapel ribbon that went with the missing one…to be honest, I had a hard time remembering what half of these things were for. Looking back on it now, it all seems kinda stupid. As you can see, I never got a medal of honor! XD I think the green/orange is Achievement [I passed bootcamp or something]; the lapel with the palm tree on it is the Kuwait Liberation medal… [go me!]–the one I’m missing is the one without the tree…we got two for service [one from Kuwait and one from Saudi Arabia--heaven forbid we confuse the two!]; the blue-gold-aqua one is for overseas service, the blue/gold is for distinguished service [like whoa, I passed Yeoman school!]. My purple-heart isn’t here, that chest ribbon is with the real medal/ribbon set, in a box in my Ma’s china cabinet. [It's like her 'I Told You So.' =_=;] , and that Green/White thing, that’s what I got for being forced to endure Marine bootcamp at Lejeune, before they shipped me out. (>_<)

Anyway, I putting this crap back in the box and tossing it back into the closet. I’m not ashamed of it, not by a long shot…it’s just not who I am anymore.
