Linkblogging I Guess.

Yesterday was a busy day.

Production Day: Not much for production – my printer for Sacrifice emailed me, as they’re ready to print the book this weekend, and notified me that I should have a proof by next week. Also, I sent the cover files at a trim size of 5.25×8 instead of 5.5×8 [like the book is supposed to be.] :/ I felt stupid. But they said they could fix it, it wasn’t an issue, they just wanted to be sure of the proper trim size.

Work: I paid my tuition for some classes at UT [How to write for series Television]; because I think I need some help—I’m not going to lose this job, before I start it. (0.0) I was looking over the syllabus and I vaguely recall taking some of this stuff at Kanbar when I got my degree, but I’m very interested in the ‘Designing a Serial World’ lecture. It touts instruction for both fiction and film media, so I’m looking forward to that one.

BL-Stuff: I got my payment from German publisher Fireangels Verlag for my story Ungestellt, illustrated by Niki Smith, maintainer of the Deutsche Mangaka Blog. The story will be published in their Lime Law V3. It’s a fleeting non-explicit short about a young Jewish man who encounters a young Hasidim on the subway —not as intensive as In Motion, which detailed an entire night between two men, this one presents an impressive instant (you talk to a stranger for no more than 20 minutes, but it makes such an impact, you never forget it.) Speaking of BL, I pre-ordered Home on the Range from Iris Print. I’m friends with C.B, and I keep in touch with Victor over at Deviant, so I wanted to do my part in ensuring this book sees print.

Peers: OMG, Caroline Monaco drew a woman, and she’s not ugly! News at 11. Liv Lingborn, who just opened up her new blog at WordPress, did the artwork for the official Storm Contstantine Calender featuring the characters from Wraeththu. I’m jealous. There, I said it. (0.0) In Japan, my friend Kajino illustrated some stories for Japanese novels doujinshika Eri Sagawa. She’s in an anthology collection put out by Sagawa, entitled ‘La Sponda’, [same as the writer's web site], and I’m very excited for her, because this is one of her first works outside the ‘Trigun’ fandom.

Pimps: Gadarene is still on sale [$10.99 if you order from us, $16.99 if you order from Amazon]. If you want to read it online, you can purchase the eBook instead. Here’s a sample of the eBook. There’s even a KINDLE version, if you just plunked down a ton of cash for that device, and have no romantic m/m material to read on it. Be warned though, Gadarene is a horror, it’s got some creepy moments—more ghosts than sex. (^_-)

Personal-

Personal: My daughter had a school honors function, which I spoke about in my private diary. I’m proud of that little shit! Then I had to trek over to the school to get my son of out trouble…but I’m just as proud of him also, because this time, it wasn’t his fault.
