Ok Nets, You’re Killing Me.

Must get off the internet.  I’ve written nothing yet, and I’ve been up since 6:00.  I’ve been on a steady diet of Bow Wow Wow and Adam and the Ants [same band, different lead singers] since lunch –and yes, the internet is killing my productivity.  Must disconnect.

Utterly Useless Post

I’m trying to post at least once a day this week, since I’ll be leaving on Sunday. Get ready for some massive abuse of the PUNISH-READERS tag. :)

I’ve been scouring the nets for something interesting. As expected the usual linkblogs fail, but I’ve gotten used to their failure. However, certain bloggers finally catching up on week old drama [open-source boobgate] never goes out of style. Shoot, I still laugh at that one that found Italian-Yaoi in Italy, about two years after it died out in Italy. XD

Some links are downright brilliant [feminist icons of love], while others are downright lame and make me want to hurt people [nice, beat up ‘the fag’—they’ll love you in prison.] There’s more talk about publisher image and authors blogging, and holy hell, Class Comics does something cool with prehistoric Zahn and then completely flat lines my interest with Tug Harder [NSFW]. Ugh. Why. I’m sure red-neck porn has its audience, but I ain’t it [and the artwork isn’t helping.] Also – Lisa Jonte is looking for gay novels that have happy endings…I showed her Jason Thompson’s thoughts on angst-gay stories in his review of Only Words. I suggested that there isn’t much to find in the genre, because audiences like the sad stuff–and gay fiction brings the sad stuff. Her comment list proved me wrong though, there’s seems to be quite a bit out there where the couple does leave off HEA.

My Polish contracts have been translated, and are on their way. I can’t wait to see what the book looks like in Polish. I also can’t wait to see what it will look like in German.

Beautiful.

I’m an authentic gin-fizicist.

I’m serious.  I make the best gin fizzies in all of Cratdom.  You can’t drink just one, and if you’re hanging out with me tonight–you’ll pissing pink for a week.

Holy Shabbot, Blog Surfing.

I’ve been watching the fallout from the Ellora’s Cavemen behavior at the recent RT. I follow Smart Bitches and a few other blogs and picked up the basics before today; I got the distinct notion that these ‘Cavemen’ models pretty much acted like himbo dicks. When Ellora’s Cave author JC Wilder [who blogs extensively about RT every year she goes--I've read her posts prior] did the same for this years RT–she left nothing out, including the jackassery perpetrated by certain Cavemen models, authors, and guests. Drama began when another EC author, Ann Jacobs, decided that she’s going to lower the boom on JC, for not acting in the best interest of the publisher [Ellora's Cave] in blogging up the whole sordid affair. [0_o] Suddenly, JC WIlder’s name disappears from the EC group list [she doesn't name EC--but duh.] It seems the mods felt compelled to remove her from the list, to wit Ms. Jacobs implies that this is what the author gets for ‘not being loyal’ [in other words] not being discreet about any and all events that make ‘the publisher’ look bad. WTF.

You know, it’s bad enough when publishers pull this shit of demanding artists keep disclosed any issues they have or anything that goes down that’s completely shitty in nature [don't make us look bad with a bad review of another work--or don't make us look bad when we're obviously acting like morons to you ...or anyone else]–but to have another creator dish out these sort of bullying tactics is nothing short of despicable. If EC wanted to chastise Ms. Wilder, then an editor or marketing rep at EC should be the one to chastise Ms. Wilder–not a fellow author who obviously has issues that extend far beyond ‘yur maken us wrytrs luk badd.’

A starter round up of opinion can be found at the Erotic Romance Blog. So far it’s been interesting to see the comments and blog posts here and there. It happens outside of romance too, believe me.

Disney LOLS

Considering the way Disney is putting the smackdown on all PotC and Distoons arts at conventions and online; this is so hilarious…and it’s from Japan! [Blog of Kaji Akino].

Wasted Saturday…

I actually opened up the Cataldo! outline today with the full intention of developing the story a bit more.  There were some things I needed to add and flesh out–I couldn’t do it.  :/  So I opened up Burn Me Naked‘, the outline to which is completed, and didn’t script a word of it.  :/  You know what I did? I wrote another goddam outline for another DC script [Damian Wayne encounters Batgirl].  Jesus Christ.  Something tells me I’m going to have to quit reading superhero comics cold-turkey, in order to finish my graphic novel scripts, if not–I’m going to keep writing books for projects that’ll never get reviewed.  :(

*sigh*

Oh, and because I missed the Friday cat pic post:

Long box kitty.
