Wow, the blog Stuff White People Like and I Can Has a Cheeseburger, got book deals. The Stuff blog got about a 300k advance. 0_o. I wonder when the FAIL blog will get a deal.

Blog things: Funny factoid – I switched to a new counter for this blog, and I was shocked to learn that 60% of people who find their way here based on the words ‘gay manga’ and ‘bara’, stay for 0 seconds. You know why? They’re looking for free scans. You people are pathetic. To think that I was actually worried and considered taking down the tag and those pages, because I thought it was bringing in readers who cared only for ‘that topic’ and not for my writing…but it was a load off to learn that the majority of surfers looking for ‘gay manga’ and ‘bara’ just want free jack-off material, and they care little of reading about new titles, where to buy, or even reviews. That’s funny. On a related note - 70% of all my visitors at Gynocrat.org come from the Boytoons magazine blog. And, about 98% of all those who come from there discover that 1. - I’m a woman, FAIL [got an email one time from a frequent commenter there asking me to stop commenting there because it's for gay men, not for hags like me.] or 2. there’s no free porn scans here, bye. I love everyone at Class, so I’m not dogging their fanbase, but I find those statistics amusing. On another hilarious note, the highest hit page in my blog is There Is No Yuri in Hentai for Men and it weighs in with 13,425 visits [of all those visits, 7,236 people stayed over 1 minute—they actually read it, and weren’t brought in looking for free ‘yuri’ or caught a salacious thumb on the google image indexer.] That’s also funny. [BTW, I indexed the post elsewhere, for those who actually bothered to read it.] Now I understand fully why Okazu has such a high activity count at hit-loggers like Inside Manga. (^_^) Yet what’s frustrating for me, must be great for her, as I’m sure those seeking only Yuri porn, might actually return and read something there–which means everything for the advancement of the genre.
