I wont be around this weekend, going away with my daughter– so I’ll be hanging around today.
German Cover update: I got an email from the editor at Wild Side; she’s keen on using the original cover to Only Words, and using the new cover as a color plate for inside the book. I was curious as to how this would be allowed, but she feels strongly about it–mainly because, according to her, my story is ‘about power and the fascination with power.‘ Also, she’s seen various graphic novels licensed in Germany [most notable being Maus] that have the swastika on it, and feels that the original cover would withstand scrutiny. I said ok…but just in case, you have the ‘too yaoi’ cover, as a back up. LOL!
On the Polish front…OMG! Poland has a weird tax thing. It’s all sorted out though, with the help of a lawyer in Poland. So yeah, I’ll be signing a contract for an official ‘agent’ in Poland, so that my deals wont be taxed through the roof, and neither will anyone who deals with me. This could be good for future licenses in Poland.
