I took down the artist needed post…I found someone, thanks all of you who mailed with an interest in the project. (^_^).
Well isn’t that swell? Iris Print closes up shop and doesn’t bother to tell the creators they have under contract. Nice. So what about our books? What about our titles?
I don’t know what to say about this, except that I’m truly disappointed. I’m beyond pissed; I wonder though, where is Amazon getting their re-stock if Iris is out of business? What about all those people who paid pre-orders for Queer Magic? It would’ve been nice to know if she was filing for bankruptcy.
Lovely. I’m keeping comments open in case someone with info would care to share what they know – if you don’t want to talk to me contact my rep, Carrie.
UPDATE 5/23: She contacted R.W. Day [but not my rep...as the mature world turns...*rolls eyes*]; according to R.W. Iris has informed her that Queer Magic will be released–but they’re printing only enough to fill pre-orders; and Iris Print isn’t going bankrupt, they’re just closing up shop.

Good grief. I’m not surprised, she’s already behaved so cowardly, but it’s disgusting.

I’m sitting here right, fuming. My rep is going to contact her [yet again] to see if she has ’suspended business operations’ indefinitely; according to my contract–if she does this, I have the rights to Only Words back, and can release myself.

Eeek! I paid for a pre-order of Queer Magic. I wonder if I’ll get my money back.

Leigh: I don’t know. Ask Yamila Abraham, she’s seems more informed then those actually under contract with Iris, or working on Queer Magic.
