No sooner was I slamming Diamond for not getting me my Prism Guide…in the mail I got me 2 copies! {Thank you Jonathan Riggs}

Much bigger than the old guides!

I made the mistake of putting it on Jazzies pillow…she jumped right up there and wanted to remind the book that the pillow belonged to her…the cover and back look great. The content is wonderful, I discovered some cool creators I had no idea existed! I think Prism did an excellent job with this guide–though one minor quibble -
all this focus on Superheroes that might be gay or aren’t gay but should be? I see so many gay-comics sites that gnaw on one little bone from a writer that suggests a character is gay…but there’s no real inkling of gayness anywhere in the story–except a line of text said once, and never backed up since. You’all realize you’re no different than the average subtext junkie addicted to shounen manga? Giving a comic a ‘Grade B’ because in one panel out of 20 issues there’s a lingering stare between two characters…that’s just as lame as the fangirl who squeals when Naruto turns into a girl and kisses a guy.
Quit focusing on what ‘might be’ or ’sometimes is’ and focus on the stuff that’s out of the closet, left the bedroom, and walking down the street.
~just saying. I know, I’m not gay and I don’t know what it’s like to love Superhero comics as a gay fan, so I should just be quiet…but that’s my opinion.
