I haven't seen it yet! ^_^ I see them pointing and I can't help but hear the voice of this old hall monitor we used have, Mr. Hill [we called him Mr. Heil]; it was a private school so we had uniforms--and school rules dictated that you weren't allowed to have day-glo headbands or wristbands [it was the late 80's] nor were you allowed to sport special shoes or any trendy gear on your uniform--and he was always stopping girls in the hall and bitching at them. He spoke with a shepardic accent-- we thought he was from Israel...but I found out later he was just from Brooklyn Heights. :/ Anyway, he'd come right up to you and point out the problems--and get real belligerent about it. He caught me with out a hall pass once and demanded to know where I was going--and I made something up, and then he said, Ms Kolesnik, you're always a liar. Why are you like this? What will you do when you're out in the world, tell lies? Is this how you will support your family? I wonder if I should send him some of my work?

I concur! Persepolis was amazing. Have you seen the movie? They did a really great job with it. The animation is very true to her style and I seem to recall we got to see stuff that wasn't in the books.

Heh. 'Punk shoes'. XD

‘YYH DJs in English’... good times man, good times. XD
I haven't picked up a copy of Pam's book but I've seen previews in her LJ. The presence of Lex immediately makes her book 1000x sexier than anything published before. =p
